About CommonWorks

CommonWorks is a Colorado not-for-profit that was incorported in July 1995.  The original name of the organization was Alternative Opportunities Colorado.  The various divisions of CommonWorks serve both adults with developmental disabilities, and at-risk youth and families. 

Effective January 1, 2007, CommonWorks and WhimSpire (a Colorado licensed Child Placement Agency) started an affiliation to share resources.  WhimSpire currently has program staff and treatment foster home resources located in the Denver metro area, Colorado Springs and Teller County, and Southwest Colorado including Durango and Pagosa Springs area.  To learn more about WhimSpire, go to www.whimspire.com.
