Community Participation
Providing a wide array of social and volunteer work activities, this program helps the adults it serves get out into their community so that they can learn improved ways in which to interact with the general public, gain basic work skills, and enjoy the resources available to us all.  Wheelchair accessible transportation is available through Community Intersections for those who require it, who are unable to transfer into a passenger car, need a personal care assistant, or are unable to utilize other available transit options.  Individual who are ambulatory, but who have behavioral issues that preclude another transit carrier, also may be eligible.  For more information, contact dianna.stvincent@commonworks.net or melissa.mcmeans@commonworks.net

Residential Services
People choose to live in either a Personal Care Alternative (a house or apartment with no more than two roommates) and staff support as needed, or in a Host Home (you live in another person's home and they provide the support you need).  Each individual is actively involved in the process of finding and selecting a comfortable living arrangement.  This takes time and work but we have found the results to be more satisfying for everyone, especially the person served.  For more information, ontact susabette.meister@commonworks.net, mandy.holman@commonworks.netcathy.odonnell@commonworks.net or joanne.wilson@commonworks.net.
