Employee Training

Welcome to Community Intersections!

Did you know that as a new employee you are eligible for a $50 bonus when you complete all nine required trainings within your first 90 days of employment?

There is a training calendar and class sign-up sheets located at the office, so get signed up today!

Our trainings are mandated by the State of Colorado and your obtaining and maintaining them will be a factor when completing performance evaluations and determining ongoing eligibility for employment.  So, I hope you will take your obligation to complete the trainings seriously.  They really are a great opportunity to share and learn… and to get to know some of your colleagues!

Trainings include:

Company Orientation
CPR
Behavior Strategies or Crisis Intervention (MANDT)
Defensive Driving
First Aid
Incident Reporting and Confidentiality
Medication Administration
Universal Precautions
On-the-Job Training

Whether you need to take just Behavior Strategies or the full Crisis Intervention (MANDT) class depends on to which person(s) you will be providing services.  A separate On-the-Job Training will be completed for each person with whom you work.

If you have a certificate from another agency that you feel will exempt you from any of these core trainings (does not apply to Company Orientation or Universal Precautions), please give me a copy and I will be able to let you know for sure.

As you complete trainings, there is a tracking sheet posted at each office that will be updated so you’ll always know the status of each of your classes.  Rachel Nelson and I conduct most of the trainings, so if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
