Medical Foster Homes
Synthesis offers specialized medical foster homes. Our foster parents are experienced with caring for a wide range of medical and developmental needs and many are nurses themselves. They work with social workers and medical staff to provide the most appropriate care for children with special needs including drug-exposure, serious injury and terminal illness. Many arrange for skilled nursing in the home, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy. They are also experienced working with g-tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen and ventilators.

Group Home
The Kennedy medical group home is located in Bailey, CO and provides experienced care to children ages 3 to 21 with a wide range of medical and developmental needs. The group home parents are exceptional advocates for children with severe needs and make it a priority to coordinate appropriate services with medical and educational professionals.

Therapeutic Foster Homes
Synthesis has foster homes that specialize in a variety of needs including mutual care, emergency care, sibling groups, and caring for children with special emotional, developmental and behavioral needs. Our homes are spread throughout the Denver metro area as well as Bailey, Greeley, and Colorado Springs. Each home is assigned a Synthesis caseworker who visits the home weekly, provides in-depth support and coordinates services for the child with school systems, departments of human services, medical providers and the legal system. We can provide in-home mental health therapy to our clients and have a skilled caseworker available 24 hours a day.

Adoptive Services
Synthesis places healthy and medically fragile infants, minority children, and children in foster care awaiting a permanent home. We facilitate traditional, designated, and family adoptions. All services are provided to clients from all racial, ethnic, religious and financial backgrounds. We provide counseling for both birth and adoptive families, including guidance for those considering adoption, and ongoing post-adoption services should any concerns or difficulties arise.

Home-Based Services
Our home based program focuses on family preservation by offering support and training to families in crisis. We build on each families' strengths and connect them to resources in their community that will provide long-term support and relationships. Synthesis offers case management, individual and family counseling, parenting education, transportation and employment assistance, food bank access, therapeutic, supervised visitation and 24/7 on-call services to families.
